On Saturday 5th May, 20 pupils with outstanding behaviour, attendance and endeavour set off for Glasgow for the day to see Scottish Premiership Champions, Celtic play St Johnstone at Celtic Park.
Along with Ms McAleer, Mr McGurnaghan and Mr McMurray they set off for the Port of Belfast to catch the Stenaline to Cairnryan at 5.45am!
They arrived at Celtic Park around 12 noon with plenty of time to visit the Celtic Superstore, grab a KFC and some Dunkin’ Donuts!! They also caught sight of some of the Celtic team and their manager, Brendan Rodgers, arriving for the match! Celtic TV were there filming the pre-match atmosphere and filmed and interviewed a number of the pupils! Stephen Watson watch out!! There are a few budding media stars in our midst.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect ! The match was a thriller with a super result in the sun with the Celts winning 4-1 !!
There were a few tired heads snoozing on the coach, with everyone back safe and sound and fast asleep by 11pm!!
A big thanks to Eire go Brach CFC who facilitated the trip, their organisation was seamless and also a special thanks to Laura Kelly, Saints Youth Club who assisted and helped keep the teachers right!!
